1st 6 wks. Academic Pep Rally 10-13-11

Our first academic pep rally was great!  
 We recognized our fire prevention poster winners, Irene & Kira (Fire Prevention Poster winners),

Kira, Irene, Marissa

 and our class had 2 Panther Pride award winners, 

Karlie & Johnathan. 

We also had a DQ Reader award winner from our class, and that was Iris.
We are very proud of our award winners!  

We enjoyed watching the 4th grade SLT (Student Leadership Team) lead the pep rally, 

and best of all, our class was very well behaved!

Fire Prevention Week Oct. 10-14, 2011

We have learned about the dangers of fire and the importance of fire safety! We have also learned that our community helpers who are volunteer fire fighters in Seymour are our friends and they are here to help us!  They even gave us a ride on a fire truck and IT. WAS. FUN!!! We have practiced stop, drop, & roll in case our clothes catch on fire.

We drew fire prevention posters and 2 of the 3 winners were from our class in the PREK division!  Congratulations to 1st place Marissa, 2nd place Irene (not pictured) & 3rd place Kira....we are proud of you!

We made edible fire trucks....that's right, EDIBLE fire trucks!  Anything that messy just has to be lots of fun, right?!

Post Office Field Trip Sept. 2011

We walked to the Post Office to learn about some of our Community Helpers. We were great listeners while Mrs. Nancy explained to us all about the work they do at the Post Office.

We really enjoyed our visit!
